The Kalgidhar Trust has planned to establish 150 schools and 25 colleges in the next few years to provide quality education virtually at the doorstep of the students belonging to the rural, far-flung and underprivileged regions of Northern India.
Construction of several schools is in full swing and admission for the junior classes has started in these schools.
The permission to establish Eternal University was received from Himachal Pradesh Government on 10 April, 2008, when the resolution for setting up of first private university funded by Sikh Community was unanimously passed by the Himachal Pradesh assembly. The Eternal University will consist of at least 11 colleges by 2012. Sant Attar Singh's vision is now a grand reality with admissions to the Eternal University commencing in 2008.
